Cookie policy

1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that websites store on the user's device (computer, mobile phone, tablet) when visited. They are used to facilitate navigation, remember user preferences and, in some cases, to collect information about browsing habits. Cookies can be "session cookies" (deleted when the browser is closed) or "persistent cookies" (stored for a defined period).
2. Cookies used by EMETHRA
EMETHRA uses only strictly necessary cookies for the operation of the service. We do not use analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
2.1. Technical cookies (strictly necessary)
These cookies are essential for the proper functioning of the Platform and cannot be disabled. They do not collect information for marketing purposes nor store personal data beyond what is necessary for the session.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| session_id | Maintains the authenticated user session on the platform. Contains a unique identifier (UUID) linked to session data stored on the server. | Browser session | First-party / Technical |
| NEXT_LOCALE | Remembers the user's language preference (Spanish or English) so the Platform is displayed in the selected language. | 1 year | First-party / Technical |
2.2. Analytics cookies
Currently, EMETHRA does not use analytics, tracking or third-party cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Hotjar or similar tools. If we incorporate such cookies in the future, we will update this policy and request prior user consent before their installation.
2.3. Advertising cookies
EMETHRA does not use advertising or tracking cookies for marketing purposes.
3. Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the prior consent requirement under Article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE), as they are essential for the provision of the service expressly requested by the user. This is also consistent with Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC).
4. How to manage cookies in your browser
You can configure your browser to accept, reject or delete cookies. Below are links to instructions for the main browsers:
Please note that disabling technical cookies may prevent the proper functioning of the Platform, particularly the maintenance of user sessions.
5. Updates to this policy
SPARRING LABS, S.L. may update this cookie policy at any time to reflect changes in the cookies used or in applicable regulations. We recommend reviewing this page periodically. If new types of cookies requiring consent are incorporated, the user will be asked prior to their installation.
